Tell me what made you want to become a writer?
What are you reading right now?
At the moment I am listening to the book Golden Son by Pierce Brown. I like to listen to books whenever I can, except when I write.
If you’re a TV watcher, what are you addicted to?
What’s a hobby you have that’s got nothing to do with books?
During the winter I knit and the rest of the year I like to create home decor items.
What’s your favorite reading/writing snack?
Coffee. If I’m eating then chips.
What is your favorite season?
Fall and Spring
Tell me your favorite part of the writing process?
Thinking about a problem and how the story needs to be adjusted or if I have a block thinking about a solution to bring the story to life again.
Now the writing process you hate the most?
The doubt. Always wondering if it’s good enough. If I’ve told the story.
Do you have a favorite writing spot that you get the most done?
Home on my couch by my front window.
Where are you most inspired?
Driving. I find all my best solutions while driving.
What are you working on now?
Promoting 40 Something and getting it ready for launch
Coffee, Wine or something else?
Coffee…. Lots of Coffee.
About the Author:
Shannon Peel grew up in Enderby, BC where her family’s root run deep. Growing up where television was either non existent or very limited she relied on books & imagination to escape into the world beyond.
She went to UBC to study and earn a general studies BA with a concentration in Political Science and Economics. Macro analysis of world events, social justice and human motivations became a passion of hers. This passion is a driving force in all her stories, which have political, economic, and social justice undercurrents.
After a career in the financial field she decided to stay home and raise her two children until school age. In 2007 she return to the workforce as a sales / marketing / advertising professional. THIRTEEN is her debut full size paperback novel.
