Author Q&A with Shannon Peel

I’m so happy to bring you an author Q&A with Shannon Peel. Her book 40 Something is now available on Amazon!

Author Q&A:

Tell me what made you want to become a writer?

Always wanted to write a story and be an author. I was always so jealous of those who were. I didn’t feel that I was good a good enough writer, then I tried. I was surprised to discover I could write and when I’d edit something I was shocked that they were my words and not those of a ‘real’ author. I still have doubts.

What are you reading right now?

At the moment I am listening to the book Golden Son by Pierce Brown. I like to listen to books whenever I can, except when I write.

If you’re a TV watcher, what are you addicted to?

I don’t get time to watch TV but when I do, it’s Netflix. I’ll watch science fiction, action, and drama programs.

What’s a hobby you have that’s got nothing to do with books?

During the winter I knit and the rest of the year I like to create home decor items.

What’s your favorite reading/writing snack?

Coffee. If I’m eating then chips.

What is your favorite season?

Fall and Spring

Tell me your favorite part of the writing process?

Thinking about a problem and how the story needs to be adjusted or if I have a block thinking about a solution to bring the story to life again.

Now the writing process you hate the most?

The doubt. Always wondering if it’s good enough. If I’ve told the story.

Do you have a favorite writing spot that you get the most done?

Home on my couch by my front window.

Where are you most inspired?

Driving. I find all my best solutions while driving.

What are you working on now?

Promoting 40 Something and getting it ready for launch

Coffee, Wine or something else?

Coffee…. Lots of Coffee.
